Elabuga is the biggest tourist center of the Republic of Tatarstan, the town with a thousand years of history. Finno-Ugric, Turkic and Slavic peoples who lived here formed a powerful fusion of ancient cultures that served as the basis for the modern harmonious coexistence of different ethnic groups and religions. Elabuga is among few towns in Russia that has preserved the comfort and charm of the old merchant city of the XIX century.

Homeland of the world famous painter Ivan Shishkin is the meeting place of artists, poets, musicians and young talents. Every year it attracts intellectuals for work, establishing professional contacts and exchange of experience.
